There are two versions of the Space Seat.
Model 1 Pre 2003 and Model 2 Post 2023
Check 1
Model 1 (pre-2003) has a straight hinge attached to the cover and Model 2 (post-2003) has a hinge bent towards the pivot instead.
See attached photo shows a Model 2 on the actual seat and a Model 1 hinge to the right
Check 2
The two hinge fixing holes are 145mm apart for the Model 1 and 153mm apart for Model 2.
If both answer to check 1 & 2 are Model 1 , you have no options but to buy a new seat, the link for which is here .https://www.fixthebog.uk/ideal-standard-space-toilet-seat-e709101/
However , if you have a model 2, the EV154AA hinges “should” fit. The should is because Ideal Standard changed the screws. ( we are still investigating this bit ) . We suggest buying the hinge set and trying with the new screws first ( supplied with the kit ) , else try fitting the new hinge with the old screws.
PLEASE NOTE THESE WILL NOT FIT PRE 2003 TOILET SEATS. If you are unsure if you have a pre or post 2003 seat then email us close up photos of your old hinges and photo of your seat.
